Silent Letter Pronunciation Errors Made by English Major Students of Raden Intan State Islamic University

The purposes of this research were to classify the types error made by students in pronouncing silent letter, count total errors that made, and know source errors. subjects at second semester English Education Raden Intan State Islamic University Lampung. H class afforementioned sample purposing sampling technique was used 29 students. result showed there 4 errors; omission, addition, misformation, misordering. 343 error’s items which Addition most common students, 211 or 61,51%. Second misformation with 84 24,48%. It then followed omission 46 13,41%. At end errors’ classification based on surface strategy taxonomy misordering 2 0,58%.
